Self-Defense Training

We offer private & group training in Self-Defense using Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Wrestling, Western Boxing, and Thai Boxing.

Strength Training

A personal Strength Training program. Real, lasting strength is built over time.  Focus is on building strength from  head-to-toe and fixing weak links.  This is the foundation to build your “house”. You can review my articles (Strength Training 101 and 3 Ways to Smash Strength Barriers) for a basic overview of some of the techniques and methodologies I use. Ideally suited for private training or small group training.

Strength Training 101 (Ages 13 & Up)

Teaching fundamental concepts for youth and adults interested in learning strength training priciples.

  1. The concept of Progressive Overload.
  2. Tools versus techniques.
  3. Compound movements versus isolation movements.
  4. Odd object training as a “fun” way to train your body from head to toe. (Sandbags, Logs, Stones, People, etc.)
  5. Using metabolic conditioning in your program to aid in making your strength training “honest”.
  6. Using body weight movements in your program to making your strength “functional”.
  7. Using Olympic Lifts and Isometrics as a way to improve the rate of force production.
  8. Get enough healthy nutrition and sleep. It’s the glue to make it all stick together.

DRILLsKILL Fitness Training

This program contains a focused mixture of the exercises and drills performed by professional Athletes, strength athletes, and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) competitors.  This is a GREAT workout designed to work you from head to toe!  You have the added benefit of being introduced to many of the basics movements of Self-Defense that we teach in out Self-Defense curriculum.

Each workout is a unique combination of these drills that are basic enough for anyone to learn and follow and scale-able enough to challenge even the elite of elite athletes.  Ideally suited for group & bootcamp style training.

  • Your option to work on an hourly, month-to-month, or a custom 52-week program
  • Baseline assessment of goals.
  • Quarterly assessments to measure and monitor progress towards goals.
  • Virtual support/consultation for the entire duration of your program.
